Viena

Bonitinha mas ordinária

I was i little disappointed with Vienna during my short weekend there. As everybody had told us 2 days are good enough to visit and leave the city with no regrets.
It is wrong to say that because it is not beautiful or does not have many things to do... I was just not pleased with the city and with the citizens.

Vale a pena comfeiri!

We walked through some streets towards Holfburg Palce to visit Sissi Museum. This is something that worth doing. This woman was an amazing person, ahead of her century. They have a very well preserved collection of her belongings and about the Hofburg empire (furniture, porcelain tableware, etc). It will take 1 day of your trip!!

At night you can try an Opera (Staatsopera - http://www.wiener-staatsoper.at/Content.Node/home/index.php). You can buy a ticket from their website and print it at home!!
Assistimos Salomé e Turandot - vale a pena.

WATCH OUT – they sell tickets for seats that you cannot see anything – this was our case. We sat in a place that we had just 20% of stage view – at least we had English subtitles.

DO NOT MISS – Café Museum (close to Opera theater), Sacher torte at Sacher Hotel – it is not the amazing taste of a chocolate cake but the glamour is worth having.

On the second day we went to Schonbrunn Palace – the summer palace of the Hofburg family (www.schoenbrunn.at/en.html). The gardens are crazy, and to visit it all you will need at least 2 days.
To walk around you will spend 1 day and it is enough. Go during the spring time that it is more beautiful and warmer.

Important – walk around the city – Vienna is one of the most beautiful cities that I have ever seen. it is an incredibly expensive city so be prepared.
You will spend U$ 40,00 for have 2 coffees and 2 croissants in downtown.

Other places to visit - St. Augustin Church – where Sissi and the emperor got married and Votivkirche – Gothic church very beautiful.

Legal, boa comida e atendimento ok - Plachuta oper - clima moderno e Reinthaler's Beisl - povo acelerado.
